LOOP-X-MACHINA 2.1
Nevo Himmelhoch
In a small room in a tower, two instances of chatGPT are having a conversation on a topic assigned to them by a human. Each instance has its own voice and physical representation in the space. The speakers can move, and each is illuminated by a spotlight when it speaks. Their voices sound in real-time at the other end of the complex, the tea house on the hill, like any lively conversation between two people.
LOOP-X-MACHINA 2.1 is part of a series of works that invite humans to observe the evolving deconstructive process that AI algorithms use to generate their output. The project encourages listeners to ask how AI-generated output is made, and just as importantly, how that output is perceived by humans. Does it ring true or false to human ears?
The work was first introduced during the “Digital Dialogs” course, mentored by Liora Rosin & Boaz Lavie - Bezalel Academy Masters’ Program in Industrial Design.
