The Generation 2.0 exhibition at the Export Studio is based on the ethnographic-visual research of the curator Ron Adar, son of Georgian immigrants to Israel. The study concerns the complex question of identity among this generation - that of sons and daughters of former USSR immigrants who were born and raised in Israel. All the works are by artists of this second generation and deal with the shattered illusions and hopes of immigrants as they met with Israeli reality, as well as with attempts to deal with secrets from there and manipulations from here - feelings that merge to create identities that are not coherent but at the same time very distinct.
