Branch's Imprint
Carla Rataus
Veneers are processed slices of wood bark used in the woodworking industry. In “Branch's Imprint,” various veneers are cut according to the shapes of natural branches before being steamed. The magic unfolds within the steam cloud: the movement starts small, then slowly intensifies. The veneer slices come to life, twist and roll slowly, as if seeking to return to their source, to become branches once again.
