Inspired by galaxies, this audio-visual installation exists in a perpetual state of ebb and flow—it moves and retreats, only to move again. Fixtures consisting of tiny lights are suspended in the center of the space. While each light functions independently, they are all part of one system that responds to how sound moves through the space. The lights are surrounded by reflective surfaces that create the illusion of an abstract texture. As the light is reflected, visual processing takes place: The separate colors are merged into one, forming a new kind of material.
