Humming of the Chaos
Melani Hekimoglu, Tamar Lamdan, Carmit Shine
Melani Hekimoglu’s site specific installation focuses on the relationship between the sensations and the mind, vision and awareness and reality and illusion. She uses the installation to challenge the viewers’ perception in a multisensory exhibition. Hekimoglu makes amorphous sculptures and constructs an installation that turns ceramic objects into light sources using sound and light, creating a visual and auditory illusion. The work hanging in the darkness creates an illusion of anti gravitational forms, blurring the boundaries of the space and the forms.
