Blackout Protocol is a controlling parasite: a 3D object made of black planes that coalesce into a single image. It is a black mark that stretches and crawls like a shadow on the fences, stairs, and façade of Hansen House. It acts like a filter, serving a single moment and a specific point of view, haunting the space and projecting itself onto reality. Like the lie itself, the protocol obscures parts of reality, narrows our worldview, and pushes away the richness and complexity the world offers when experienced holistically.
The lie can be found in the shadows cast by the truth, in the dark places where sunlight does not reach. Such is the nature of the Blackout Protocol. It is an anti-spotlight that consumes everything in its path.
