Humanity has always tried to push the limits of human ability. Since ancient times, one of the purposes of technology has been to rise above the limits of our biology, and today, we can finally achieve just that.
The playbook is already changing. In the near future, physiological alterations will become a fact of life.
The project proposes a biomechanical intervention in the human foot, aiming to enhance performance in short-distance running. It is a speculative case study of one of many alterations that humanity is destined to undergo.
For what purposes will we alter our bodies in the future? What ethical issues will this raise? How far will we go to incorporate technology into our bodies? And will this new reality make our lives better?
